Singapore trade shows 2027: dates, and how to get real leads
Seven Singapore shows worth a look in 2027, checked against the organisers' own sites, plus how to pick one and what to do in the 48 hours after it ends.
Singapore's 2027 industry show season runs mostly from March to April, with a big manufacturing show in July. Pick the one your buyers attend, then plan the follow-up before you book the booth.
If you're a marketing manager with a trade show line in next year's budget, this is the short version of the homework. Every date below came from the organiser's own site on 6 November 2026, because listing sites still carry old dates. Sea Asia is a good example: some still showed March after it moved to April.
Which Singapore trade shows are on in 2027?
- Asia Photonics Expo: 3 to 5 March, Sands Expo and Convention Centre. Photonics and semiconductor.
- Geo Connect Asia: 17 to 18 March, Sands Expo and Convention Centre. Geospatial.
- TyreXpo Asia: 17 to 19 March, Sands Expo and Convention Centre. Tyres and the automotive aftermarket.
- Inter Airport Southeast Asia: 23 to 25 March, Marina Bay Sands. Airport operations and equipment.
- Sea Asia: 13 to 15 April, Marina Bay Sands, alongside Singapore Maritime Week. Maritime and shipping.
- FHA: 20 to 23 April, Singapore Expo. Food, beverage and hospitality.
- Industrial Transformation Asia Pacific: 20 to 22 July, Marina Bay Sands. Manufacturing and industrial technology.
This isn't every show in the city. It's the set we could confirm for the sectors we work in, and building and construction shows didn't make it because we couldn't verify their dates on an organiser's page.
When we swept shows across Southeast Asia in October, December to February looked thin, and most industry shows clustered in March, then April to July. So if your sector has a March show, your planning window starts now.
How do you choose the right show?
Start with who walks the floor. The usual mistake is to choose on the exhibitor count, which tells you who your competitors are and not much else about your buyers. Ask the organiser for last year's visitor breakdown by job title and country, then ask three customers whether they go.
After that, four questions usually settle it.
- Do the people who approve purchases attend, or only the people who research them?
- Are visitors from the countries you can actually serve?
- Can you afford to do it properly, including staff time and follow-up as well as the booth?
- Would a speaking slot or a side meeting get you more than a stand?
That last one is worth a real look. If you only need 30 conversations with named accounts, booking meetings around a show can beat paying for floor space. Your target accounts will be in town anyway.
What should your booth team capture?
Less than you'd think, as long as it happens every time. A badge scan gives you a name, and that's all. The note is what makes the follow-up possible.
- Name, company and role.
- What they asked about, in their words.
- Whether they buy, advise or only research.
- When they need it.
- What you promised to send.
- Who on your side owns the next step.
Then use it. The first message after the show should mention what they asked and include what you promised. "Nice meeting you at the show" is the same email every other exhibitor sent, and it gets the same silence.
When should you start planning?
Work back from the opening day. Here's a timeline we'd use for a three-day show.
- 12 weeks out: agree the goal as a number of qualified conversations, and pick the accounts you want to meet.
- 8 weeks out: set up the lead capture, the CRM fields and the follow-up emails.
- 4 weeks out: invite those accounts by name and offer a meeting time.
- 1 week out: brief the booth team on what counts as a qualified lead.
- During the show: capture every conversation the same day, with a note on what they asked for.
- Within 48 hours of closing: every lead in the CRM, with a named owner.
The invitation does more work than the giveaway. Keep it to three lines: who you are, one thing that's relevant to that account, and two meeting times. A named person offering a specific slot gets a better reply than a booth number in a mass email.
Why do most show leads go nowhere?
The show isn't usually what fails. The following week does. Leads get jotted on paper, stay in pockets or sit on reps' phones, and by the time anyone looks, the buyer has spoken to three competitors.
That's why we hold our own event programmes to one number: every lead in the CRM within 48 hours, then 30 or 90 days of nurture from the client's name. It's a simple rule, and it does more for the return on a show than a better booth design.
Sort leads into three groups on the flight home, or in the taxi if the show's in your own city.
- Hot: a real need and a date. A person calls them within two working days.
- Warm: a real need but no date. They get something useful, and a check-in at 30 days.
- Later: a good fit but not now. They go on the newsletter, with a check-in at 90 days.
Then report the outcome in the same way you'd report any other channel: cost per qualified lead, and pipeline three months after the show. We've written more about why slow leads aren't dead leads.
If your team can't carry this during a busy show week, get it covered before you book. That's the work behind our event marketing service, and it has to be set up before opening day.
Can the EDGE Grant pay for a trade show?
For overseas fairs, yes. For a show in Singapore aimed at local customers, don't count on it. The EDGE activity is for B2B fairs overseas, and it excludes activities aimed at domestic business and fairs that are domestic-only.
For an overseas fair, it pays up to 70% for SMEs and 50% for non-SMEs on booth space and design up to 36 square metres, speaking slots and collateral. Travel isn't covered, and LEAD-supported fairs are excluded. You can't apply more than 6 months before the fair opens. Our EDGE Grant guide has the rest.
A booth buys you three days of attention. The 48 hours after it closes decide whether you get anything back.
Questions we get asked
- What are the biggest industrial trade shows in Singapore in 2027?
- For manufacturing, Industrial Transformation Asia Pacific runs 20 to 22 July 2027 at Marina Bay Sands. Maritime firms have Sea Asia on 13 to 15 April, and food and hospitality suppliers have FHA on 20 to 23 April.
- How soon should you follow up after a trade show?
- Get every lead into your CRM within 48 hours, with a named owner. Call hot leads within two working days, before competitors from the same show get there first.
- Does the EDGE Grant cover trade shows in Singapore?
- The EDGE trade fair activity is for overseas B2B fairs. It excludes domestic-only fairs and activities aimed at domestic business, so a local show isn't a fit for that activity.
